How can my immigrant fiance and I get past the background check?
Posted by Tim under background check
La D asked:
My job requires a background check on him before we get married. He’s been living here for 5 years illegally, though, and I’m afraid that if we tell them he’s living in his home country, they’ll investigate and find out the truth. We can’t get a quickie wedding and then do the check because my job knows we aren’t yet married. Please help!

there is no way around it. however you can petition for your fiance. hire a lawyer to avoid mistakes. why would your job require a background check on your fiance?

Ship his illegal as s back to where he came from. If he couldn’t come here the way he’s supposed to then he is just another common criminal who needs to be punished and if that punishment consists of deportation then so be it.

I’ve never heard of a job requiring a background check on your not yet husband in order to get married. What job dictates who you are allowed to marry? Seriously curious.

Getting a Top Secret SCI? They checked on my wife too when I got mine. Only difference is that my wife was a legal immigrant and naturalized citizen.

It does not really make sense if your are the candidate/employee, why the company is curious on who you will marry??? Does your job have anything to do with national security or highly confidential thing? If yes, you should have known what to do~
Anyway, personally you would have to tell them the truth. It’d be worse if they find out their own later~

what is the purpose for the background check? do you work for the government? is it for health benefits?? this is the first thing i would question before i figure out how to “beat” the check. should you even have to DO it??? it’s sounds bogus to me. share what you know about it…WHY are they requiring this?
