Corbanz Baby asked:

I would like to know if anyone has ever applied at the Hyatt hotel and would be able to tell me aobut how long does the background check take to come back. The manager told me that I have the job I just have to wait for my background check and references to clear. I know that my background is clear and my references are legit so in about how many days should I hear from her?

I haven’t applied at the Hyatt before, but I have held a position where a background check, as well as drug tests, needed to be done. Really, it takes as long as the employer allows it to. The process itself doesn’t take a long time if the employer gets to it right away. But that depends a lot on how many applicants there are as well.

I would wait a few days and make sure you call to thank them for the interview and remind them how interested you are in the position. After that, wait another week or so to see if they respond, and then consider contacting them again to ask if they’ve made a decision.

Depends on how fast the manager moves. A back ground check can be done in less than 24 hours. Wait about 5 days……if you haven’t heard from her call her and ask how the back ground check is going and that your very anxious in working for the company. Best of luck!

You should have asked…But I can’t criticize bevcause sometimes I’m so nervous I can’t ask the questions I want to, Just be patient if you know everything is clear it should be less than 2 weeks..If not call asap!

I never have worked at Hyatt before, but in general……

Depends on the level of background check. Some just do a general check and can be done in 24-48 hours. For the job I currently have (I am a manger at a casino), my background check took over a week because they do a pretty thorough one and I had lived in several different locations over the years (father was in the military).

Good luck with the new job.
