How do you do a background check on potential caregiver for your children? How long does it take to get the results back? How much does it cost? Is there state and federal? How accurate are they?

you can do it online or through the police station depending on where you go the cost will probably be different.

You can go to your local police station and do it or online. It will cost some though so be prepared for that as well. See if the person has references and contact every last one.

Kudos to you as a parent who is concerned for their child’s safety :)

You should hire a nanny agency in your area. They handle all of the background checks, and are held liable if anything goes wrong. The fee varies, in my area (Texas), the fee is approx. $500.
